Walking around the RTR I saw many portables but they were usually one or two panels, a inexpensive controller and the leads to hook it up. I have seen those under $200 at times but they do not include a battery or inverter.

I started using a portable of my own design in 2012 and did so until I installed my roof top system last year. Recently I had a giant panel mounted on my truck to augment the main system. It tilts and isn't going to walk off without a lot of effort. The 30 amps of power it will provide will be added to the roof system to do a lot of stuff most will say can't be done.
