I have been looking at my options for cell phone signal boosting, both mobile and stationary.
WeBoost has several options.
What i am wondering is. Is it worth it to get, say, the weBoost Drive 4G-X RV and use that while on the road, then get the directional antenna and telescoping pole and switch over to that when stationary for the 2 week stays when dispersed camping?
From what i can tell weboost does not have a system in place that is designed to be switched from an omnidirectional antenna while moving to a more effective directional antenna when stationary.

I have one similar to this https://www.wilsonamplifiers.com/weboost-drive-4g-s-cell-phone-booster-kit-refurbished-470107r/ which are now discontinued. I keep my hotspot in it and use the wifi to connect my phone. I installed a trucker antenna similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/weBoost-4G-O...88209&sr=8-3&keywords=weboost+trucker+antenna . Mine is discontinued too it seems. This works for me 90% of the time. When out of range for that I have a directional antenna on a painters pole that I use. When I am out of range of that, I am SOL. I will spend the night and then look for another spot the next day.

I have a WeBoost Drive 4G-M that is usually used with the small supplied omnidirectional antenna mounted on top of my camper.  This antenna usually suffices to get a good usable signal.  I have only used it a few times while driving but it seems to have helped hold a signal.

I only switch to the directional antenna when the omni doesn't supply a good enough signal.  It is easy enough to set up for an overnight stay.  I manually disconnect the omni and connect the directional antenna when it is used.  The omni enough for about 90% of my use.

I have talked with others that have switched to the WeBoost trucker's antenna with very good results.  They mount it on a lowerable pole on the back of the vehicle and drive with only the antenna sticking above the roofline.  It can then be easily raised anytime that is required.  No need to switch antennas.  It doesn't give as much boost as a directional YAGI antenna but is less hassle.

Interesting suggestion, mounting the stationary antenna to an expandable pole and extend it when stationary. Thanks, I just might have to try that.
Does anyone know if there is a difference reception wise between the different fixed antenna's? not counting elevation or the directional antenna.

The different antennas can have varying "strengths" which are denoted by their dB rating. Also keep in mind that some antennas have built-in ground planes while others may require setting them on a metal surface to serve as the ground plane.

I have the 4G-X RV and really like that it doesn't use a cradle inside, it uses a little antenna instead. You can pile all your phones and hotspots in front of it at once, you're not limited to one device at a time.
