Staying at moms for a few days while she is out of town. She doesn't want her pipes to freeze.

Oddly enough I am missing my van. While it is right out front all my stuff is in it. I know where everything is, the heat works well, it comfortable. OMG! I am becoming one of us!

Hahaha...."Welcome to the Hotel California!!" :D

You can check out any time you like but you can never leave......

'Mirrors on the ceiling, and pink champagne on ice'...
Now THAT was 80s vandwelling. Makes me think of carpet on the walls and such :D

I know what you mean, though. When I stay over with friends or family, it's never truly comfortable. Even if the amenities are better, I miss my trailer.

I know what you mean. My family thinks that I am anti-social. When I take the parents to visit friends and relatives, I stay in my van in the driveway with my dog. My first cup of coffee in the morning is so much more peaceful! LOL

Yeah, I slept in the van while visiting family/friends. My bed is so much better than what any of them had to offer. But their showers were much nicer.

Other places are simply not mine and thus home. While I appreciate the hot shower I find myself constantly back and forth retrieving and returning items. May have to sleep out there this night and shower at Moms in the morning.

What kind of coffee pot do you use? I am still setting up, and would appreciate recommendations. :D

One time I walked through the botanical gardens in Victoria BC... all of them... got lost and walked for like 12 hours before finally making it out of the park right as they were locking the gates and it was getting very dark... I swear my RV was parked just under a large light pole and the other lights around it were burned out... It looked like god had blessed it...

I knew absolutely everything I needed was in there... a beer, a bed, food, warmth, comfort, rest... I almost cried when the propane pump heater went on and I kicked my shoes off taking that first swig... I must have looked like homer simpson in pure bliss...
