Since I do not buy McBreakfast, and make it instead, I have no reason to sit in line for a chance at a free cup of coffee.

Two years ago when I was building a house, I would have jumped at it. The lines even with a double order station are crazy stupid.

GS, I know plenty of full timers who take advantage of McDonald's free Wi-Fi, on a daily basis. the free coffee is a bonus

I agree. This is a score for most people. At this time I am lucky I do not have a need for it. They do sell good coffee, and they will set it up for you so you do not even have to open the cup. I am sure there are insurance reasons for that, but it still is nice to order the coffee exactly the way you want it. (And get it 99% of the time!)

When I do hit the road, McD's is one of the places I will depend on for WiFi. Public Libraries are another good place for free WiFi. My daughter got me a new smart phone, and I keep seeing places where it grabs on to sources.

McD's is always good for some wifi, so I don't mind buying a little something. Its especially nice to find one with electric too.
We find so much wifi available that we don't miss having a hotspot too much.
