How about a little comic relief?

'Make beer, not walls,' is slogan of BrewDog's The Bar on the Edge

Avoiding the softball politics pitch..........

I did used to homebrew my own beer---I made a Porter that I called "Viking Piss". Had my own custom labels printed up. Fortunately for me, none of my friends liked dark beer, so that always left more for me. ;)

Alas, impossible to do in a van, I think.........

Lenny, I'm a fan of dark beer but confess I would likely be wary, shall we say, of any beer with a "warning label" such as yours.

Personally, if I ever find myself near that borderland brewpub, I'd be delighted to belly up to either side of the bar for a cold one.  Have to admit, tho, I have a particular fondness for a good, dark Mexican beer.  The best I ever had was a small local label found only around Merida, Yucatan.  If you ever get that far in your van, ask for Indio.  It is *suburb*.

When I was in Nicaragua during the Contra War (I was with a human rights group) there were two beers available. The good stuff was called "Victoria". The cheap stuff was called "Tona".

Easy for a Scot to chaff us here; if we did the same on Hadrian's Wall I wager it wouldn't be so daft eh ;)

If this **** happens I will make a trip down just to have a beer. Why you ask? because I can.

Sounds like a good place to score some blow.

I have my doubts this will ever come to be. to many legal hurdles. it would seem to me that the brewing company would know this if stupid ole me can readily spot two major obstacles. I think it's a publicity stunt. highdesertranger

Whatever it is, it sure seems playful & I'm all for that!  Back in the 70's (ahhhh.......the 70's

) Conceptual Art was all the rage.

Basically, someone took an idea, serious, ironic, playful, whatever---& created a "happening" or an actual "installation" to express the idea.  Some of these art installations were low budget, spur of the moment.  Others were created with substantial funds & generated a lot of media attention.   Some were presented in top national art museums.  None, at the time, were profit driven.

I've absolutely NO idea what's behind this borderland brewpub, but it smacks of Conceptual Art to me.  Anyhow, its a heck of a lot of fun just to imagine it.  And I dare say, if it materializes, & I am free to roam, I'm for dropping in.

Haven't "seen" you in a while. Don't be a stranger!
