Finally! Somebody makes an affordable Low Voltage Cutoff Switch for 12v systems! For those who want to minimally tap into the starter battery without a continuous duty solenoid, without the risk of killing the battery; here is the product:

I already ordered one as it has a throughput of 10 amps, with screw holes for mounting. I have no idea if it has protection if the load is pulling more than 10 amps, so to play it safe I recommenced putting a 10A fuse inline downstream from the Low Voltage Disconnect Module (towards the load).

um did you read the specs on the label. disconnects at 10 volts, reconnects at 10.7v. by the time your battery hits 10v it's dead. highdesertranger

10v it's dead? One reviewer wrote:
"Nice package that is easy to open and adjust the voltage setpoint (the reset follows). I set mine to 13.5 vdc and it works great turning off gps after turning the car ignition off. Similar units cost $45 to $75. "

So that implies with electrical skill one can adjust the cutoff voltage to whatever voltage the starter battery has when it's about 70% charged (what voltage is be a safe voltage to discharge to?).

I hope the company who manufactures this doesn't fold as they are giving the other companies in the 12v power modules market a run for their money by offering simple, low cost solutions while others have complex, expensive solutions. Everybody, buy as many of their products as you can afford and have storage space for so they stay in business!

These low voltage disconnects do have a parasitic draw.

Perhaps when i was relatively new to battery power, such a device might have been useful, once, but All I had to do was turn a switch.

Now I do not even have a dedicated house battery. Just one 90AH  battery for both house and engine, and No fear of overdischarge to the point where I could not start the engine.

10 amps max rating?.......I'm pulling 11.2 amps as I type.
Product fail.
 No thanks.

You could use this to power a relay or relays if a larger current capacity was needed.

This is my concern, I don't want to fry the LVD. How I plan to wire this when I get it is to wire it to a cig plug and plug it in inside the cab, with a fuse inside the plug. This is until I install a  continuous duty solenoid under the hood with 1 gauge wire to the house batteries.
