The reason I mention Facebook is that it will identify your IP address and depending on how you have your settings adjusted can find information within a radius of that city.

Google offers a free course titled, "Power Searching with Google". 3 weeks self paced 4 to 6 hours per week. I did this course a number of years ago. Definitely worthwhile.
