Well I've finally posted details on how to get to the Summer RTR. They are here:

http://cheapgreenrvliving.com/RTR_Sierras_Location.html

Its a beautiful meadow surrounded by huge trees, There is a tiny little creek running beside it with Native Brook Trout in it. We are 1.5 miles away from a Ranger Station where you can get water and use an outhouse, and a country store where you can get basic supplies and take coin-operated showers.

We are very near a major river that is stocked every week and has very good fishing. If you are a not a resident of CA, you can get a 10 day license for $45 or 1 day(maybe 2days) for $13.

We will NOT have cell phone or internet. I'm sorry, it just isn't available up here in a place large enough for us all and big rigs can get in. nearest cell/internet/wifi is in the town of Shaver Lake, 13 miles away.

Hope everybody can make it!
Sound wonderful, Bob! And I've never seen more explicit directions. Wish I could go! What was the date, again?
Great choice, Bob!! Lots of other places around if the meadow gets filled up! We did move to Oregon like we said, so the cost of the trip may not work this year. Hope your arm is healed. We were always worried about you on those dirt/gravel roads!
jb
agreed will miss it this year

Sorry, it wasn't me, but I was in town yesterday (Monday). Pretty amazing to see it live! We have had a great spring, beautiful almost every day.

See you all soon (dates are June 19 - July 3)! If not in the Sierras, then Hopefully in Quartzsite.

I'm going to be here all summer, so everyone is welcome to come and join me at any time for a day, week, month or for the whole summer!! My camp is always open. Plus, my camp has internet and is very close to Shaver Lake. Bob
Don't worry. SoulRaven can only use one of the MANY primo sites at this RTR. I am up here now too and this place is really beautiful. The days are warm and comfy and the nights are cool and just right for sleeping. There are tiny wildflowers blooming and the birds are chirping and there are butterflies that I have never seen before. We will be away from the road so the dogs have room to roam. There is lots of wood for a cozy fire at night. Tony and I love this place and I am planning on staying here all summer. This is a perfect place for RTR. Hugs to all. Tony and Cheri
Cheri, how funny are you. We are rushing around here loading things up to leave Washington Friday.
It's amazing how long it takes to get stuff ready when you're not a full timer!
See ya soon!

Nelda and Jerry
I'm in!

Okay, I totally want to give fishing a try but I don't have stuff. If I buy a license for a couple of days I'll be relying on the kindness of strangers to lend me a pole and instructions. :)

Nelda, you and I might be leaving around the same time from the same place. At least I'm coming from just north of Seattle.

If anyone is leaving RTRv2.5 and heading east to hwy 395, we'd love to meet up.

Jen, Bob and I are still camped near Shaver Lake. Where are you? Would love to see you. Cheri and Tony

Cheri,

We finally got to the Shaver Lake area and are talking about swinging by if RTR is still in progress. You guys still camped nearby or has the party moved to someone else's house?

johnny

Hi John and Jen... No we are NOT at the summer RTR location but allot closer... We are like 10 min drive from Shaver lake... Sit tight and I will get word to Bob and Cheri in the morning... If they do not have your phone number PM me with it and I will pass it along... There is a small rest area about 1 mile up "Dinky Creek RD" which is on the west side of town... Nice parking and toilets...

I will pass this on ASAP...

Steve...
