How big of a lithium battery do I need for 200w solar panels

You are putting your cart before your horse.

he heart of your energy system is your battery bank. First you need to figure out how much battery you need to run everything you need/want to run.

When you know that, then you can make a decision as to how you will keep the battery bank charged.

BtW, welcome to the forum. the more you tell us what kind of camping/travelling you want to do, the better the advice you will receive.

yes you are going about this whole thing backward. don't worry we have all done it, well most of us anyway. here's what you need to do in a nutshell,

1. Figure out your daily electricity needs.
2. Size your battery to #1.
3. Size your solar to #2.

that a condensed version. so lets get started if you need help with #1 ask here.

BTW I mover your thread to the electrical sub forum. please only your intro in the "Newcomers Corner".

BTW#2 Welcome

A 200 watt panel maxes out at about 10 amps of charge power. Any lithium battery that can handle a 10 amp charge rate or higher will work.

Artstrings, not be smart allec but what your kind of asking is "How big of a gas tank do I need in my car  for a gas station that pumps 10 gallons a minute". The solar panel is just your charging device. What all are you powering and how long, give some details of your devices and use of them.

Not much interest from the OP I guess.

Lithium isn't really any different in it's need for charging as is lead acid.
Due to a likely flat panel mounting and other inefficiencies, a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio would be good for panel wattage to battery amp capacity. With Lithium since you can run it down safely to 10-15%, it would be a good idea to have the extra capacity of panel wattage.
