For some reason it wouldn't let me write anything in my original post <img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/confused.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0"><br><br>Anyways I need some advice. I found this guy that wants to trade his van for my civic. The problem is I live in SC and he lives in NC. What do we have to do to make it legit? Go to the DMV? Would we have to go to a SC DMV and a NC DMV?<br><br>The van is a 1998 Dodge B-1500 high top conversion van. It has a 5.2L V8 and only 55,000 miles on it. I thought that was way low for a 98 but I ran a carfax and everything looks good. Does anyone have any experience with Dodge vans? Do you think this sounds like a good van? He seems to just be tired of the MPG and wants something more efficient. <br><br>

If it has the 318 or 360, you're good to go.&nbsp; Just don't over-rev them (like 5.5k rpm).&nbsp; Rock solid bottom ends. <br><br>If it has a&nbsp;V6, I wouldnt do it. <br><br><br>

I had a '99 dodge van that I bought new (I'm a lifetime Mopar driver) and I have NEVER had as many problems with that van as I have had with any other vehical.&nbsp; I ended up selling it&nbsp; in less than 3 years before the 36K warrenty went out and it was already on its second motor.&nbsp; The V-8's are better (mine was the V6), but I would have a mechanic go over it with a fine toothed comb first (especially electrical).&nbsp; $100 for a mechanic to look at it is cheaper than the first tow.<br>
