Just something to consider. A back-up camera, while not required, would sure be a big help in tight spots without the view out the back. With side mirrors you really need to be aware of what's directly behind you before you back up because sometimes you'll have blind spots that can cost you. I know, I also know deuce and a half drop gates aren't cheap to replace when you center a tree on them......
 
There exist convex mirrors that mount high up on the left rear corner to give a view of the blind spot. Old school.

My E350 cargo van has one.

My question is more about the rear side windows.

I have my rear side windows blocked with window covers. I have the black side facing out and my windows are tinted so it's not noticeable from the outside unless you know what to look for. Haven't had a problem.
