I have an Asus laptop and they don't offer a DC charger.
Converting DC to AC to just convert AC back to DC seems inefficient and I really want to keep all AC items to a minimum. So I want to get a DC charger.
I've seen DC chargers that you can change the voltage / connectors, but they say nothing about amps.
I contacted power4laptops and they recommended a charger with the following specs.
Output Voltage: 19.5V
Output Amperage: 3.33A
My charger specs are
Output Voltage: 19V
Output Amperage: 3.42A
I asked them about the specs not being exactly the same and they said
Voltage can be plus or minus up to 1 volt either way.
Amperage can be up to 0.2a less and can be anything higher.
They also have a charger that is the exact same specs, but the connector is the wrong size. I could purchase it and just change the connector.
Thoughts?
