Fundamental principal of fixing....
If you can't hold it you can't fix it.
so here is another of my little modifications, that I've found to be jolly useful over the years...
My vice post that locks into my reciever which lives on my roofrack...

The foot piece. By screwing the threaded rod out, (really magical stuff that... Threaded rod) it locks onto the ground and forms a solid work pillar
