Cyndi,

I don't know if anyone told you this recently, but you are truly a treasure! Thanks for all that you do for us in these forums. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Tom

I'm in Lake Havasu now! Been here for a week renovating someone's house. Looks like I'll be here until the RTR.

It's been uncharacteristically rainy here lately, but I still like the look of the misty mountains. Took this a few minutes ago.

Interesting photo. Where was it taken?

Tom

Right near the law enforcement training place.. Off 95 just outta downtown... There's a little parking area and foot path by the water.

Thanks, Cyndi! We are thinking of staying over around there so this is very timely. Merry Christmas to you.

Also, there was an ad for free firewood from a guy moving from Parker last month. Some was still available as of a week or so ago. I told Highdesertranger and wagoneer about it and gave them the guy's number. If anyone else wants the info, pm me.

Another possible firewood source: There's a fairly new battery business in Lake Havasu called All American Battery (928) 453-1004 and I noticed they sell firewood from small to large amounts. Don't know what they charge but it may be less than the little bundles we sometimes pick up from Quartzsite. Andrew and I will happily pitch in to help pay for a bigger batch if anyone has a way to get it to RTR. We will stop somewhere and get what we can squish in.

I'm coming in a box truck, loaded with personal gear and likely some building supplies. However, I should have room for some firewood. I also like the idea of getting it before arriving in Quartzsite. Current plans call for going through Lake Havasu the day before.

Please send a PM with the info for the other guy and also any more details or ideas you have about amount of firewood and sharing arrangements.

Thanks,

Tom

Okay, I did.

Megan couldn't handle a double though.

In Lake Havasu if you drive South on 95 from the Home Depot you will come to a shopping center on the right. There is a Big Lots there, but the main attraction is on the north end of the complex is a supermarket with water vending machines. 15 cents a gallon. They only do one gallon at a time, so bring a small jug.
