Is this Solar Panel worth anything or scrap?

I've had the solar panel that came with the van removed from the roof.

Eventually, way far into the future I'll go with suitcase solar.

What came off the van is a 26" x 34" General Electric Model GEPV 050-MNA solar panel. Rated power is 50 W.

Also found in removal of interior was a GoPower GPR 22 Amp Controlller.

Both are somewhere in the 12 years old range.

Are they worth putting up on Kijiji and if so what should I be asking for them?

Why did you remove it?  Just curious.

Well, let's see!

It was mounted on the fiberglass roof without benefit of any waterproofing so the bolts were rusty and allowing water to leak in on the pink fiberglass insulation that was in there!

I really, really like parking in the shade so a roof top solar won't do me any good at all.

It was 10' in the air and I'm 5' tall. I have no plans to carry a ladder so cleaning it would have been totally impossible.

It wasn't tiltable (ha, new word!!) so it would have been inefficient at best.

It's not likely that the one panel would have been enough to do what I want to do when I get to putting a solar system together.

If it's worth anything at all, then it's a bonus. If not oh well!!

Sounds like some pretty good reasons! :D

x2 on what bob said. I use a 50watt as a portable, it's fairly light and not to bulky. I can move to where it's needed easily. just a thought. highdesertranger
