Hello! My name is Marilyn and I am 69 years old. At the end of November, I will be on the road permanently in an SUV and a tent that attaches to the back. Cargo carrier on top and shelf on the hitch. It has been a dream of mine for over 40 years. I finally gave myself permission to do this. The hardest part is getting rid of stuff. I have been through several stages of parting with things. And know I have one final letting go session. I can not wait to be on the road and meet like-minded people. I will be a vagabond until the time I can no longer do it and have to go straight to the nursing home. I do plan, however, on upgrading to a van or small class c motor home. It will take a few months with no rent or utilities to get a sizable down payment. I never realized how many women around my age that are doing this. We have raised the children and some grandchildren, buried husbands, etc. and now it is time for us. Goodluck to you in your quest for peace.
