Too much driving for one year. That's crazy!

Ahh but think of all the country side you would get to see in shorts and a T shirt Cyndi. :)

That seems like quite a bit of traveling without much time to stop and smell the roses.

I refuse to let the temperatures dictate my travels, when it is so easy to keep my van comfortable regardless of the outside temps.

Just like in the stick & bricks world, as long as you can keep your home comfortable, you can tolerate the weather.

Heck of a drive from San Diego on Dec 31 to Brownsville on Jan 1.

The drive doesn't account for low temp, humidity, and precipitation. Just a high of 70 by itself is not enough for my comfort.

Basically just follow Bob's elevation change advice as appropriate. Less driving, more enjoying.

well I have to agree that's just driving for the sake of driving. jeez slow down. highdesertranger

I think it is just a fun exercise to see the places where an "ideal" temp could be expected at a certain time of year, right? I think it is an interesting visual of climate zones by month.

I looked at it and took note of what time of year the expected "good temp" would be in places I'd like to visit anyway.

Sorry, I just thought it was an interesting mental exercise.

A friend once told me his doctor advised to not live anywhere the temperatures were less than his age.

Me too. It was cool to watch the points light up when & where across the country and how it progressed. No, not an  economical way to see the country but could be used as a guide of when to go someplace you want to be.

Holy cow, look at that driving!
Ok, ok, I can take 50 degrees, 50-ish is fine.
