Ok so I feel kind of foolish asking this question but how do I make it so that the wood frame of the bed stays in place? Bolt it down or? and how would I even do that in the first place I am a total noob at all of this

I've used L brackets and screwed it to the plywood floor, I know in the event of a bad accident it will probably tear loose. Best way would be to drill through all floor materials and metal floor and use bolts.

Just make sure you are missing the gas tank or any lines underneath, then just screw it into the floor. If you want to secure to the metal floor, use self tapping metal screws.

Or a high powered nail gun if you want to get real redneck with it

yeah I had a thought and maybe I was trying to be way to fancy way to fast, I am thinking if I can find a futon small enough to fit in the back (which I think I can) I am just gonna bolt that baby in place set up a food area, a potty area and a place to do stuff area and be happy with it, I can always make my van better as time goes by it doesn't have to be perfect now
