Last CG we were at, our site was right on the water. There was only two other campers theatre for about a week and a half, one was the host. Having a fire at night right on the water is just so damn peaceful. I couldn't believe that CG didn't have more campers. Had about 35 sites, and about 20 of them were all on the river. Most were decent size sites, but the site we had was really nice and roomy. Crap load of free firewood in the woods, only down side was the water, had so much iron(I think) in it, turned the water jugs orange. Love those water sites.

x2 on water sites, I find comfort and distraction in imagining secluded stream and pond sites sometimes.
There is nothing like a dawn stroll along a body of water, at peace in the 'tween time, fog lifting, birds awakening, stillness, air like a cool loving hand on your cheek.
