Need a little help. I bought a van with a battery charged by an isolator and extension cord. I am adding solar and will be switching the isolator with a solenoid, but that isn't my question. Here is the view of the area under the bed where sits one large house battery 12v. Because there is no room for a second battery, I've decided to relocate a two-battery homemade wooden box in the area where the light brown squares are. That location will let me bolt to the floor through existing holes and also bolt into the bed wall. I'll be using portable solar panels, the cord coming in through the nearby door window to the left and the charger screwed to the door pillar. Near the yellow tag of the current battery is a hole through the wheel well. I'll run a vent pipe from the side of the new box, around the water tank to that hole.
I'm not liking the stack of wires on each post. Five if memory serves me. I want to do away with the stack and put in something neater and protected from stored stuff falling on it and shorting out. After I remove the current battery I'll run heavy cord from the new positive and negative - probably right back to the space left by the current battery. I've got two handfuls of lose wires that were once on the posts. My question is what electronic device do I put here to corral all these wires? Some sort of combiner?
