Interesting statement in his ad:

"In it's prior life it was an air force runway vehicle which is why it only has about 46,000 miles on it."

I wonder if all these were AF vehicles? The paint job is certainly consistent with that.

Those vans would make great campers except the box is a little short. Building a rear slide-out would be cool. I like that they're not duallies.<br><br>

A 150W panel is less than 5 ft long, so you could mount several of them crosswise on the roof if you wanted to (and had the money).

I've done a lot of brain picking and research that leads me to believe that you can do just about anything you need to do with a 200 watt system, including a 12v fridge. I've also found a 200w system that can be had for slightly under $400. The two panels in this system side by side is a bit less than 4ft x 4ft, so they could easily be mounted way inboard on the top. Nobody would ever see them, save for from a tall building or airplane. <img src="/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif" class="emoticon bbc_img"> <br>-Bruce

Sitting on the ground floor I can see the roofs of school busses and UPS trucks as they go by. Even if my lot were flat, I'd be able to see the tops of vehicles from the second floor.

I looked at one of these awhile back. I called the guy and left a message and he never called back. If I run into another one I'll be grabbing it. These are military surplus and rarely have many miles on them.<br><br>gus<br><br><br>
