It looks like I won't be taking on the park I thought I was. I just got off the phone with him and the deal changed from me making a little money to paying for my electric in a dead park, cooking and babysitting his cats while he travels.

Not happening!

Part of me is really glad as I didn't want to take it on but the practical side couldn't turn down cash. Now I return to the original plan of bumming around, seeing the sights, returning to Colorado when the weather gets better and seeing my family this fall. I make my own electricity anyways.

:huh:  Jim......... I really wonder about you sometimes.  You just threw away a chance to pay for elec. you don't need in a boring/dead park with cat's for Max to chase..........was the cooking for the cats?

I've almost been lured into 2 similar situations.  The worst was when I closed my home near Sioux Falls,  loaded Dammit the untrained attack cat, my bike, TV, Sewing machine etc and drove clear to the Back Hills.  When I arrived......My 2bdr trailer provided by the park was 1bdr,  and came with someones dirty underwear under the coffee table, trash and food in the kitchen and a BIG HOLE in the hall floor covered with a throw rug.   I took pictures & walked the cat and went right back home.  I contacted my unemployment ins. worker and reported the situation.  My benefits were not lost and no one else was to be referred to that park.   You're lucky you found out before you pulled up stakes and went there.

I'm not bummed. Ticked maybe that one more in a long line of people over the years tried to take advantage of me but not bummed it didn't work out. JeweIlann is right, I am just lucky I found out before I drove all the way back up there.

The cooking part was my butt in the blistering heat of summer just as I froze when I was there in January.
