Hi there. I am currently on a 9-5 job. I am sort of looking to slow down and do much needed sabathical across the US. Since I was a child my parents took me around traveling and having fun outdoors almost every weekend thanks to the tropical climate of Puerto Rico. In my teens and during my college years I sort of withdrew from that life. Now as a grown adult I want to connect again with nature and longing for the outdoor life. I am currently leashed to a mortgage which I pray everyday to be able to pay in the next year or so. I am so looking forward to be debt free and enjoy more time outside. Many Blessings and thanks to Bob I was able to see this forum. Thanks.

Welcome aboard! Hope the best for you and to get off the leash. At only 26, I learned I cannot nor want that leash attached to my neck.

Hey OutdoorFT! Thanks friend, I hope I will be able to leave the house to some relatives I love dearly, that would be my inheritance to them. I just hate to be indoors on weekends, I feel like a caged animal. I want the great outdoors.

Crurned.  OH How I know that situation. I am also tied to a JOB (Good Job) and MORTGAGE. I am of the age I could retire, but situations are not allowing that at this time.
Like you, my parents gave me the wanderlust at a very early age. I Still long for it.
Keep up the efforts to get out there and  do what you can.

You ever wonder if we were born 200 years too late and should have been the pioneers? Always wondering what is over the next horizon.
