Hi, I'm having trouble removing the bolt that holds the Captain Chairs down. One came off easily with a 3/4" socket and breaker bar. But then the one next to it (rear), the same socket won't fit. And look at the front, there's a metal plate blocking the access holes to the 2 bolts.

Please help.

This is a 2000 Dodge Conversion.

I took mine to a garage and paid him 20 bucks to cut the nuts off with a torch under the van

It's been a long time since I worked on any Dodge vans, but if I remember correctly some have studs that have to be removed from underneath.

I had a 2003 Dodge conversion and the seats will just lift off the floor plated by lifting on the bar that has the two light weight springs attached . it hooks to the base plate, After the seat has been removed you will be able to see the base plate and the attaching bolts but I believe they will still be removed from under the floor but at least you will have the seat out of the way to be able to evaluate the situation.

Thanks guys. There's a release lever and it came off easily.
