Does anyone know how involved it is to completely remove the house AC from the top of a motorhome?

Thanks

Steve

1.remove inside vent piece.
2.disconnect inside wiring.
3.unbolt (2 or 4 bolts) holding it to RV.Inside.
4.get on roof,Stand on cardboard _so NOT hurting Rubber roof if you have one.
5.if you have access to Front end loader,Pick it up-off RV put it in Loader.
replace with Nice Fan mounted 12 volt fan vent---wires (might be there)reseal, with (Flow seal).no more leaks.& less weight on the roof.

Thanks Sparky!

Are the electrical power wires to the house AC the only thing left behind after I take it out?

Do you cap off the remaining power wires with wire nuts?

When I take out the interior part of the house AC (the part attached to the ceiling), is the ceiling underneath that discolored?

Thanks again.

I took the roof a/c off of my coachman van camper and replaced with a fan-tastic ventfan. There was no discoloration inside, just an indention in the ceiling fabric where the outer bezel had been. Disconnected the electrical wires for a/c from power distribution center and hooked up to 12v panel and wired fan to the upper end. may be the best mod I have done.

You guys mention using jacks or a fork lift to move the AC after I've disconnected it so I'm assuming it is one heavy beast, right?
