There are always people on this forum asking whether they could nomad in such-and-such vehicle. The answer is that you can do it in anything — if you want to. From bicycles to semis, where there's a will there's a way. (Whether you'd enjoy it is another question.)

So, here's a guy who works part of the year in Florida and the rest in Montana. And he hates paying for hotels. So he converted his Crown Vic into a camper. As he says, "Any vehicle that you can stretch out fully with a comfortable mattress is a bonus."

And, hey, it's for sale.

If he had a sponsor or a website of his own to promote,  that fin on top would be an excellent sign board.  He could get a lot of viewers to such a site as he travels too.

I think stealth with a car like that is out of the question.  But,  I agree dependable rugged  transportation with this comfort factor would be sweet.

The stability of it in windy weather and when driving at highway speeds around 18 wheeler's leaves me to wonder too.   My own high-top 90 Ford E 350 gets a bit squirrely when I'm at high way speeds and behind an 18 wheeler.

Over the past 30 years or so I've moved quite a few times and when changing insurance agents (with the same company), I've had different experiences. A couple of them wanted me to come in to their office so they could confirm the mileage and I guess also to check the vehicle for any prior damage.

Anyway, if you drove a modified vehicle like this in for inspection I wonder what the agent would say?
