I (older hippie lady) have been going on two- week trips testing out camper shell living. Now I am planning a two month boondocking trip starting with RTR. Can't wait! I drive a 2000 Tundra and have the topper that goes up high in the back. I unroll a futon at night and use those windshield screens instead of curtains - propped or taped up. I like not having anything built in. I also like being able to look up at the stars. I lived in a tent first with the bears, scorpions and rattlesnakes. This is so much easier.

I am hanging onto my old 26' travel trailer in Oregon for awhile to see how things go, but getting excited about cutting out the rent, since I am another retired person with hardly any retirement. I think there are a whole lot of us in this boat. Thank you, Bob, for getting a tribe together. I have lots of tips for frugal, healthy, low-footprint living to share with anyone interested.  :)

Happy New Year everyone!

A Tundra with a high-top shell --- you will be able to go just about anyplace you'd like.

If I don't mention that we like to see pics of various rigs, someone else is sure to do that any minute. Sounds like you are keeping things Zen simple.
