Not sure how I found this forum, but boy am I glad I did. I spent most of my life moving around different places, just not around the states. Mostly in Florida and the islands, from the Bahamas to as far south as Columbia. Mostly due to working on the water as a boat captain, mate, salvage work and in the marina management. Sooooo, it's time to explore some of the good ol' United States.

I'm looking to purchase a used Chevy Express to convert into a camper/live-aboard. There seems to be a lot to choose from and I should have the money in hand by the end of the month to purchase and start prepping her out. I'm hoping to have her completed by early fall to head to North Carolina for fall foliage. Although most of my life I derived my income from working on the water, I did major in photography and plan on using that to help fund my travels as well as work camp.

Will probably have plenty of questions, so please be patient with me. Looking forward to being a part of this family. I'm glad I found you.

Welcome.... from a land-lover. Lots of great people and information here.

Thanks for the welcome, Guy. I was born and raised in the St. Pete. area and never made it to Pensacola. Ahhh. So many places I want to go.

Welcome! I'm a big fan of the Chevy Express, it should serve you well.

We're here to help in any way we can!

Thanks Light Trip and Bob for the welcome. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions.

Guy, I do remember Web City just not the dancing chicken. I do remember the Mermaid Show they had upstairs. I also remember sitting in the gas line with my dad in his Rambler when they had a sale on gas for around 25 cents a gallon.

Welcome. I'm also a Floridian, since 1978. Currently living on a farm 13 miles above Bonifay, which is about 100 miles east of Pensacola. And working on an old Wanderlodge Bluebird, 1979 model.

Lived most of my Florida time on the space coast. Been here about 13 or 14 years.

Lots of good info here. Just ask your questions or do a search.

Again welcome.
