Hello, first time posting here. I've been perusing the forum for a few months, but wanted to post a question and get some input, and thought I should post here first.

I've been dreaming of van life for the past 20 years or so, but have been sort of gearing up for it. I'm putting together a plan for a project to turn a step van into a sort of tiny home, and honing the systems and layout right now.

First question I have is what forum I might post a question about plumbing? I have created a diagram for a systemand I was hoping maybe to get some input on if it is viable.

Welcome! Probably under conversions and modifications would work or start a captain’s log describing your progress.

Welcome to he Van Living forum. A good step van could be a great rig to go on the road with. If I didn't have a high top extended Ford Van, I"d consider an all aluminum step van with gasoline engine. (where I live it gets cold in the winter so a diesel may not work for me year around) Plenty of room on the roof for solar panels, the engine compartment would be easy to access in a step van, (a real hassle on my Ford Van with 351 V8). You would have room to stand up and walk about in it.

If I were shopping for a step van today I'd try to find one with out dual rear wheels. Just 4 wheels on the ground. An aluminum body. 16 to 20 ft total length would be more than enough room for one person. 16 ft may be more manageable.

Good luck with your project & travels.
