Just wanted to say Hi! and especially Thanks! to Bob for such a great site. I've already learned a lot.
I haven't taken the leap yet to get a vehicle but did go RVing with my wife for a few years a while back (we're separated now).
Been living aboard various boats for a little over 20 years and when my 30' sailboat sells will be out there with you guys.
It's a Hunter sloop and I'm anchored in the keys if anybody's interested ($8500)
Hi mobilekev,
I'll bet you could trade your boat for a pretty nice vehicle! Having a sailboat may be one of the most common fantasies guys have! Right behind you know what....

Welcome and great ta have you...I am guessing the a transition for you will be easy and smooth...
Bri

Howdy! I am from the Keys!! Big Pine and Key West. I am coming that way as soon as raft season ends up here in NC. Where are you moored. It is so expensive to dock down there but when I got out of high school I lived "on the hook" on the back side of Big Coppit for awhile an a tiny sloop. Welcome to the forum (I am new here too). The transition from boat to RV should be very easy.

I want a vacation, the Keys sound fine.
Dragonfly Oh, welcome too.
Thanks for the great welcome!

I'm anchored behind the Lorelei in Islamorada right now and life is pretty darn good. The water's clear and the lobster are extra big and dumb this year

Might head up to Ft. Myers though if the boat doesn't sell soon. It's a little bit exposed here from the North and I might wander up there with a buddy of mine.

Thanks again!

Spent a lot of time on Isla way back in the 70's. Two of us in diving gear would go down and one would poke in the brain coral with rod , the bug would run out into the bag the other guy was holding. Back then you could catch a bunch in no time. Glad to hear the water is still clear.
I would love to live on a boat.
I'll be glad to share my insights into living aboard to anybody who's interested. Feel free to PM me.
