hey all, thought id say hey all, so hey all
seriously though, new here, ive been binge watching the youtube channel with Bob so i figured id pop in here and see about getting involved somehow, past backpacker/hiker with some outdoor experience, might be doing some jeep-dwelling cramped style for a bit due to uncontrollable situations, may be short term or long term so all info welcome on any old jeep cherokee living ideas, thanks!

Welcome to the CRVL forums CmanPNW! We have members dwelling in all types of vehicles so there's probably a jeep-dweller here somewhere. Hopefully, they'll chime!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

"...welcome on any old jeep cherokee living ideas".

Cherokees are too small in the back to sleep comfortably, unless rolled up in a tight fetal position. I know, I had one. The easiest thing is a good sized tent, like a 4- or 6-man, rather than backpacker tent. With a larger tent, you can easily put a folding chair and table inside, and walk in and out without crawling. Makes a nice den, and you could live in there for many days in bad weather without feeling too cramped.

You could probably pull a small trailer if having the 4L I6, as many people pull those with regular cars, but I have no experience with that myself.

I might add that, I now have a van, and do miss having 4WD when down in the desert on BLM land. Very rocky roads, made for AT tires,  and you can only go so far with 2WD. And by that what I mean is, not very far at all.
