Hello everyone,
My name is Nic and my Wife's name is Brenda.  We have made the decision to embrace this lifestyle.  We are in our sixties and looking forward to turning the page on a boring existence.
I (Nic) am a Master Diver into Bushcrafting, Primitive living and other self sufficient endeavors.
Brenda is an accomplished Pianist, (yes, we are toting a piano all around with us).  She is an experienced Open Water diver and Spearfisherwoman.
We have lived Primitively  in our youth and look forward to this adventure as this lifestyle would actually be an upgrade to what we had before.  We lived in a Log cabin we built from scratch in Eastern Washington state and lived like that for 3 years.  Primitive Log cabin,No running water, no electricity and lots of Yogi Bears for neighbors.
We are looking for like minded people for traveling, Caravaning, etc.
We have been married for 37 Years and we like to hike, Gold Prospect, swim and just want to enjoy life.

Welcome Nic and Brenda to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums    :)

Good for you and your wife to have the courage to trade boring & security at 60 for a new life of travel & intrigue.
It should be no surprise to anyone with wages staying stagnant for decades and cost of living in the sticks and bricks
only increasing in the same time that we would see this trend increase across the board from recent college grads to
the present number of retirees.  Not to mention so many of the middle aged who jumped out of the work a day
treadmill who actually got this thing started.  (whether by divorce, bankruptcy, or being pink slipped 10 to 20 years
before they could retire)

I'm still with one foot in the sticks & bricks for now, but every time I'm on the road in my rig I notice the housing divisions from the highway and think of what those folks are actually getting for what they are scrimping and saving for.  (who is the winner ?  Them, or the Banks, Utility Companies, Oil Companies, Government Tax Dept, Credit Card Companies ?)

I'm sure you will meet plenty of like minded people here.

We are in Arkansas atm, leaving here first week in December heading to Quartzsite for a few months. I was a commercial diver and spent many hours on surface supplied Air. We love to "Snipe", I think it is the same thing as your freedive crevassing. No wetsuit? Damn cold. Yeah, just using crevice tools, chisels, classifiers, etc. just using freedive gear. It's a blast, especially when you find color.
