I bought a cot made by Byer's of Maine, Allagash Model. It was fairly easy to set up and very comfortable. The last time I camped I couldn't get the last set of legs in, and slept through a couple of nights with the foot end slanted down. Not the most comfortable camping trip. When I got home my son set the thing up like there wasn't a problem in the world. I think I just don't have the upper body strength to get the tubing inserted, so I bought another air mattress, this time a Coleman. The last one I had was from Walmart and never did hold air properly.

I'm driving across the country in August and returning in Sept/October, and hope to spend most nights camping along the way. If I'm lucky the air mattress will hold up, and if I'm not then I'll be sleeping scrunched up in the back seats of my Highlander.
