I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and just noticed the forum. What a great site! I have been dreaming of living in a van for a while. I bought a 2003 Leisure Travel (Sprinter) van three years ago before I retired from my job and it is my daily driver. I love my van! Have loved camping out for years, usually in a tent or car, but since I have gotten older, I enjoy the comforts and safety of being inside a metal tent. Lol. My plan when I bought the van was to travel/live in the van when I retired but it wasn't to be right now. I currently am taking care of my elderly parents who also love to go camping with me in my van but have both had health problems the last couple of years so we don't go very often except to visit relatives. I stay in my van when I go to visit relatives (which they don't understand) but I enjoy having my own space, especially in the morning with that first cup of coffee! Also, some of them don't like dogs in their house and my Belgian Shepherd goes everywhere with me.

Looking forward to reading all of the current and past threads. This keeps my dream alive!

Re: the relatives, good on you. I think my family would be dumbfounded and then bother me until I relented to sleep on the couch.
