Hi all.
I am ready to toss my current living (selling my house) and take on the road. I have Hyundi iLoad and trying to find the best way to set up my living conditions.
Have to admit that i have my nappies full, never done this before and not sure what to expect.
My reason to take on the road ? Age 59, unemployed (nobody give a chance anymore), so i am selling my house (hope it will happen soon). Love to be independent from any government taxes, charges, fees and other things they can think about it.
My "friend" thinking that i lost a plot. Oh well....
What i am afraid of ? What can i do when i am really old and cannot do this any more (no family around to fell back on later on). Being in Australia, how can access my pension later on without permanent address ?

John

Welcome to the tribe Krys. What does your meaning for 'plot' refer to? Aussies talk funny.
Dragonfly

He he.....lost the plot, simply lost your mind, go crazy and so on.

I guess I lost my plot a long time ago, hence the play on spelling for my little travel trailer, or as you Aussies say caravan, 'Little Sanitee'

I think you got the right idea mate. So you sell your house, plenty of other houses for sale in OZ if you wanted one. It is not like your familly and friends are going to disapear. You can keep in touch. This might give you a chance to visit some old relis living in another part of Australia. Being mobile you have a better chance of finding work, if you wanted it. Australia has an ideal climate and plenty of free camping to be had. Finding someone with a permanent address to collect your mail at while setting up a direct deposit for your pension, should not be a problem. Get in that van once the house sells and get going you will sort it our somewhere, as you will need to do something to keep you busy. I hope to see you along the roads there in the next few years. I have a van in NZ one in Canada and I want one in Australia. If you are worried about what you are going to eat for lunch when you are 80, sorry I can't help you on that one that is 20 years away.. Good luck, enjoy...
