Ive been watching Enigmatic Nomadics YouTube videos & reading Bob's Cheaprvliving.com blog/forum & many others YouTubers since last year. Thank you all for your inspiring videos and for this forum. :heart:

I moved to CA 13 years ago to hone in on my photography skills; photography school and then travel the country. I become stuck and forgot my goals. 2006 move from Southern Cali to North Cali were I am now.  Before 2003 I always had space, acreage & quiet, then moving to CA was a BIG adjustment, well I'm still not adjusted really.
In 2008 I bought a used 24ft 5th wheel. loved it. Lived in it for 4 years, then I wanted something a little bigger. I went way overboard. I bought a used 38ft 5th wheel with 3 slides. Wow its big, too big. I love the length but I really don't need the 2 slides, plus the four-cylinder vehicle I have wont pull it. I LOL at myself.
For a while now I've been getting really itchy feet to travel again but I didn't think there was any options to travel without money & I'm too young for social security benefits. Then I started researching and then I came across Bob's blog/forum, Enigmatic Nomadics & others YouTuber videos.  Now I can breath again knowing I can live & travel without a lot of money, still eat healthy & be truly happy.
My goal is to start traveling in 3 to 5 years if not sooner. I would have started 3 years ago, the business I have, a brick and Mortar place is successful so, I wanted to recoup the money spent on this big rig that I don't need, plus save an emergency fund.
I found money is not everything, Happiness is...   I hope to see you all out there.  :=}

You are now among a group of folks(we call it a tribe) that KNOW how to simplify when it comes to life and travel. Lots of happy here ,yup , yup .
What is that 4 cyl rig you have , maybe that's all you need ....to live in !

I have 1994 2x2 22RE Toyota extend cab pick up, with camper shell. She has 184,014 miles as of today. I bought her in 1995 from a Toyota dealer. She had only 2,000 miles on her. She has always been reliable. The only major thing I had to do to her was rebuild the tranny, beside your normal maintenance stuff. I have lived in her while I was on photography assignments or just exploring. Its to small of a space, cant stand, cook food, bath etc. It did get a little old especially when it was cold and snowing on the mountains. I saw tent that sits inside your truck bed, after thinking I could do that now, then, I have a tent just tie it down in there. I would like to have more of a barrier between myself and the elements/wildlife. Then, I thought about a slide in, like what Will has 4x4 Toyota Tacoma with a slide, on Enigmatic Nomadics YouTube channel.  She, my Toyota doesn't have enough power to do that or I would do it in a heart beat.

Wanted to ask the group/tribe opinion to what they thought as in do I keep her, buy another truck and slid in like what Will has, truck and trailer or a van.

Look at some of those Toyota mini Class C's , many have the 22RE.
Won't fly up a hill but still go !

Well there is the 'Capri' camper, a bare bones 5' interior 84"wide truck camper that;ll go on a small pickip (even a short bed) with a weight of only 600 to 700lb (short vs long) http://capricamper.com/models/cowboy/
