i'm now very happy, and am looking at ways of decorating an older RV, empty nesting nesting haha... maybe i can talk hubby into buying an older RV, putting it on our land, and sorta camping around the city in an off the grid truck/camper... i wonder.... how possible is it in canada, to spend 5 days out of the week parked 'who knows where'?

Welcome. Been married 35 years, and some times it takes a bit of time. Ask him to humor you and go out looking at used trailers on the RV lot, just for fun. After a few (couple of dozen) times 'just looking for fun', he might start cottoning to the idea. No pressure *grin*

oooh i love your nick, Seraphim and perhaps you, being an angel of the Lord, could force my husband against his very stubborn will to go look at RVs haha but i do know that i can't force it, my husband always tells me that i know the answer when i have something to ask him, the answer is always 'NO'

Point-of -contact would be Michael. cc Gabriel in case Michael is out of the office.

that's funny, i have no authority and am not required to think either... is there a job opening? oh wait, i can't sing, well i could pull a mili vanilli and lip sync it...

even tho i'm not catholic anymore, i once asked Michael to protect me, and felt instantly better! it was weird haha, i was raised catholic tho, so perhaps he's still on the job

i found an airstream that i totally want and hubby agrees!!! but just found out my money won't be coming for 2 - 4 months, ugh, do you think it will wait for me? lol prolly not, it's a 2007 with a computer desk, i doubt i'll ever be able to find another one like it again

Hi Elaine and welcome! I think you can make any trailer into something your comfortable with. Do a bit of repainting with a few decorations here and there depending on your tastes and you can quickly make it go from trailer to home. Good Luck.

any trailer? gosh i had a hard time looking at trailers on craig's list and imagining living in them, what's tough is that we need space for two computers and my husband basically needs a DESK, but i guess you are right, i could always rip out a couch lol thanks for the welcome!

Before you count on removing a couch or dinette, look at what is under it. My bedroom remodel had to take into account the water tank under the bed, which was a bit bigger than my pre-tearout measurements.

well blars, today hubby is against living in an RV until he retires, so it looks like i shall have to cool my jets

There are two others from BC currently on the Boards, I live in Ontario, definitely colder than all of Lower BC, temps like past 110-150 mile house area.

good luck

so hello everyone... my husband and i have been thinking, i know we have time to decide, but my heart is still set on living in a RV, but both my husband and i have a bad feeling about the land we own, it's a rv park/resort type deal, and the woman is charge is mean as a snake, and we're pretty much sure we don't want to live there... but i do think it was a good investment at the time for our money... but now i have no clue what to do, because my heart is still set on an RV, but we don't know what to do with an RV, you know? hubby doesn't want to travel around, he's just not that type of person, and we're not sure where/how to live... any suggestions? need some brainstorming... we have time to think, but if my husband loses his job, i want to have a plan in place! cheers everyone!!!
