Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself: I'm a Canadian 60something who, with my hubby of 46 years (!), sold up the 'homestead' last fall to full time in a small C Class RV.

So far, so good! There's a steep learning curve and we've made our share of mistakes but we've learned a lot and, after 9 months, are still happy with our decision.

We wanted a simpler life and a less materialistic life with more time to spend in nature. We love to bird, hike, boat, kayak, and take photos.

Last winter we wandered from the Panhandle of Florida to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas to Big Bend then New Mexico and finally to Arizona. This spring we came back to Ontario (to maintain our health care, see family, and do taxes) and have a seasonal site in an RV park in cottage country with our small boat at a nearby marina.

I'm so excited to 'meet' everyone here and to learn from all of you. Sharing experiences and knowledge makes this a community. This is a good, simple life!

:)  Hello and Welcome to you both.  Sounds like you guys like the water!  I'm a native Texan and hope to spend time on the gulf coast late this year.

Welcome! Glad to hear another happy outcome from others discovering the mobile life. Planning on going to Mexico this fall/winter/spring maybe I'll go to Canada next summer.

Oh, do come up to Canada! Both the east and west coasts especially are amazing! Like the US it's a darn big country to explore.   :)
