Hello everyone. I think I have settled on a van. Stealth and safety are my highest priority. I have been spoiled by driving Subaru’s for many years and I am having trouble letting go of the idea that I need AWD or 4x4. Friend says 6 cylinder 4x4 diesel will get bad mileage. Several people have said Sprinter diesel will run a million miles. Anyone out there have thoughts/opinions/experiences/insights? I appreciate your time. LtVanBuren

unless you are in camping on the streets of a city in snow country an AWD is not essential. If you are boondocking outside of towns being stealth is not a big issue because if someone sees it out there at night time they rightly figure someone might be sleeping in it.

Actually thinking people are sleeping in it is also true in cities nowadays as lots of people are living in their vehicles. So go live in a city where it is not against the law to sleep in a vehicle.
