Saw this big 'ol rock at the side of a C-store. Employees didn't know why it was there.

Note bent trailer jack.  What ya think?  3000 lbs?

I love that old time rock and roll. When the roll is called up yonder and rock of ages.

Weight is very dependent on the density of the rock that varies tremendously. I have dealt with rocks of that dimension and I have not got a clue.

Mudbunny da man (or woman). I took a closer look and took some rough measurements. It's bigger than I thought.

It's roughly 33" x 36" x 70" which is about 48 cu.ft.

Google tells me stone weighs about 160 lbs/cu.ft so it weighs around 7700 pounds.
