 Hello im just about ready to start my adventure of living on the road. Im 63 single and getting kicked out of my place. This virus is horrible for everyone. But i have been blessed and seen a few of Bob's video. Which helped me have some hope for a fun adventure until i decide what to do. I have a 1988 honda and a tent with a small one for private time. Im hoping on meeting up with some of you so i can learn more. Is there going to be a group in Az soon?

Here is a link to a sub-forum discussing problems you'll face living out of a car. Look around some there and try the search function for info on tent living:

Welcome to the CRVL forums CULATER! I moved your post into its own thread so that more people would see it. Sign up to the Homes on Wheels Camp Together facebook group. There are several people organizing group get togethers in Quartzsite - https://www.facebook.com/groups/wecamptogether/
I'm sure you would be welcome to camp with them. Have a good trip!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

No big groups or meetings are scheduled due to Covid 19 restrictions. A dissapontment to a great many people who wanted to do that type of camping and travel and feel a lot more comfortable with a third party handling introductions to strangers. Of course as well as having them deal with making the decision about where to camp and when to be there.

There's going to be a WHOLE LOT of nomads camping in the Quarzsite LTVAs pretty soon. And although most of them will be in vans and RVs, there will be a few in tents. Quartzsite is still pretty hot for most of us, but I know some CVRL folks are in Flagstaff and others are in Nevada right now.

Ask in the Gatherings forum - https://vanlivingforum.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=15 - if you don't get a response here. If you're ready to leave now, you might also ask if anyone is traveling near where you are, and is open to meeting up. Chances are, someone is.

Just know that some groups are mounting social distancing and masking and others seem to have said to hell with it. I’ll be in the first group.
