I've been a nomad since age 3 months old. I was born in Texas, moved to spain three months later, stayed there three years then back to america where my family moved every couple of years. As an adult I was hardcore homeless not even having a tent or where to get food I wore if I ever got enough money I'd buy an RV. Since then I have had all sorts of rvs which consists of a step van, cabovers, several trailers, several vans, several motorhomes and have a van and motorhome now. The one thing that was the hardest for me was being alone and cried some hard tears because of it but I'm ok now and know way more now than when I first started but still have a lot to learn. I have a hard job which gives me anxiety attacks every day I go to work. Good news is I am about to retire and hit the road but don't know where to go. I would like to go to some of those gatherings and meet people.

Hello Skippy nature guy. Welcome to the forum you have a very interesting story. I didn’t notice what part of the country you’re from, if you’d like to share that OK if not that’s fine too. One of the great things about this forum is that you can share as much as you want or as little as you want. I like when people come on and stay as “regulars” I miss some of the people who Joined, were active for a few months and left. So stick around and let’s enjoy the ride together.

Welcome, you should have some interesting camp fire stories!

a motorhome and a van! Nice!

you can search rv travel groups near the area you are at and see what they offer for travels. many many groups to join up with and make friends.

caravans are listed somewhere on this site...someone will post the link for you LOL I don't know where it is but there are groups to meet for sure!

enjoy your new road life!

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

I love in Mill City Oregon renting the top floor of a house. The owner used to be my girlfriend but one day she just up and said i'm just her tenant. She's been really mean to me the entire 5 years I've known her even with me giving her everything she wanted including paying all her bills.

When I lived in a class C motorhome before I traveled thousands of miles working on every town I lived in. I definitely faced dangerous situations which is why I keep to myself. Even they friendliest person can then one you. I am warm and open though, very generous but am way more cautiously. Even with me making a butt load of money from my job I view myself as being on better than the homeless person in a tent. I am always giving them food or whatever.

I look forward to making new friends when I make them jump to freedom
