Oh boy am I happy! Was given an opportunity to pack up a house for a move and in return I received this van. The AC doesn't work but everything else seems in good shape. Just had to share! :D

Aren't windfalls wonderful!

Yes they are.  It was a surprise suggestion by my aunt and her fiancee ... I've moved so many times that I'm a whiz at packing up, even with disabilities.  I was blessed for sure!

Generator and a Window unit until you get the AC fixed.

Yea, I've been researching what I could get but at the moment I'm in an apt right now so i'll have time to prepare.

Now , that's the way to get a van !

I know, whuda thunk it? I place a lot of stock in the Universe providing ... about a year ago I had a line on a used old class c but the bank wouldn't loan 100% even tho I was approved for more than the cost and I had no $$$ to contribute. So I'm thinking the timing wasn't right then. Anyway. This is going to be great.  I'm hitting 65 this year and both my boys have passed in the last 4 years and I need something to wrap my sorrow around and that would be getting out and about I think. Anyway, TMI ... as soon as I catch up I'm gona hit the road - get rid of my stuff as there's no one to leave it to now.

Nice job!

BTW if you just post to Imgur, very easy, tons of helper apps for every kind of device/OS

and then post a link either to individual pics or the gallery in you post here,

the whole resizing thing is automatically handled

Great basis for a rig. Let us know if 305 or 350, what you hope to convert inside, read up on all the solar and battery and solenoid threads in the electrical subforum. Pay attention to what John61, SternWake and jimindenver have written, as well as some others as far as electricals goes.

Sorry to hear about your losses, we should not outlive our children.  :-/

Look forward to your progress and questions. Be specific about what you have and want to know, it will save time in answering.

Till later, congrats for now!   :D

Thanks for the condolence - I struggle every day with the sorrow, but I'm a strong woman and I know they are in a much better place (or I tell myself that to get by).

I think it's a 350 if I'm not mistaken.  I believe that's what the fiancee said ... paperwork says 5.7 v8 fuel injection.  I know NOTHING about vehicles - well - I know a little, but very little.  It only has 136000 miles so it should be good to go for a while.   :)

Wow, congrats!  Looks like it's already been converted (at least a little bit) for sleeping.  And I LOVE that it's not the same old boring plain white we see all the time!  Good for you!
