I'm soon to be 69 yo, originally from Montana, living on the outskirts of Los Angeles, retired this past April and am looking forward to travel, mostly in the western United States.  A friend with a Class C planted the RV seed in my head about 18 months ago.  Since then I have been watching Bob's videos religiously and more recently have included Traveling Robert in my studies.  I have a Dodge 2013 2500 pickup and bought a used 1706FB Minnie Winnie travel trailer two weeks ago.  I'm currently outfitting that for travel and learning to back it up.  It is a 2015 model but pretty much unused...it still has the original plastic wrap on the mattress.  The tires still have full tread but I will change those as they've sat in the sun, unprotected for all this time.  I plan to sell my current house this spring and downsize to a condo in the desert, then travel during the summer months.  I am a real weather puss...I hate extremes, which for me is just about anything outside 68 to 75 degrees F.  My only surviving family member is a nephew from a half-sister, so I am not tethered.

Welcome Dan to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.
