Fuses on SOLAR

When I set up my Renogy solar panel system, the diagram I followed only showed a fuse on the solar panel array, so that's the way I set mine up, one fuse only as shown.  But now I see a Renogy diagram that shows two more fuses; one between the Rover charger and the batteries, and another between the batteries and the 12v to 120v AC converter.

Why the change?  Do I really need those two additional fuses to be safe?  I thought the converter and the charger handled the protection they need internally.
 
Fuse it all, every red/positive wire that leads to or from a battery (in some cases the negative leads need fusing also). 

Better safe than sorry.

If a short develops in the wiring, you need fuses to prevent bad things from happening, like a fire.
