I just ordered this from cafe press... I wanted something cool to wear from time to time - maybe in college towns, etc. (NOT to church, or police conventions, anywhere in vanaphobic Seattle etc.)

Hay vantrekker, nice t-shirt. Ya mean to say Seattle will not welcome us with open arms? Suprise. I recall when some of my favorite spots were logging roads.

Nice streams, excllent views, had the place to ones self. Oregon is not far behind as you probally know. Thinking bout heading over toward Beaver (BLM land) next week for a few days. Beautiful area that.

Roy

Cafepress.com has been around for a while. You basically come up with the designs and they'll print them on T's, coffee mugs, hats, etc. They provide the systems where your online store resides and get a cut of whatever you sell. They only make the items when orders are placed. All the hows and whys are on their website.

If you guys ever are curious about stuff like this hit me up. I've been working in computers and for internet based companies for years now. If I don't know I can find out if it exists for you in short order.

Just got back from the trip. I know for sure that vandwelling is the way I want to go in the future. For now, I am blessed to have a driveway but roaming is fun!

The cafepress ad showed up while I was looking at something else online.

They had a zillion different things to do with Star Trek so I was seduced...

When looking at premade shirts, I just clicked on the "Make your own shirt" button, chose the color and size, and then worked on the design.

I used existing JPG files from the hard drive and uploaded them much the way you would for a blog posting. It is easy to add text boxes to the t-shirt design using their design software. You can change font size and font color easily, too. Once you massage everything into place, you have to option to just purchase the shirt via plastic card or through your Amazon account.

One note... I shouldn't pick on Seattle. There is a group of people who have a blog and are trying to alert the police to suspicious behavior. They are most certainly well intentioned people who just want to keep things orderly. It's usually not the vandwellers that are the problem though...

I street camped in a college town last night. It's nice fitting in where you don't really have to fit in.

V.T.

That wouldn't be Ames would it ?

I hear they have great places to have hydraulic sandwiches

Definition of hydraulic sandwich : Liquid refreshment with just a Liiiiitle amount of good alcohol, and a enough full bodied nutrition for survival...

Putz

Cedar Falls... about 1 block right off the campus. There are a lot of opportunities to stealth camp there and no hassles. Surprisingly, it was more fun than the previous 3 days of campground sleeping.

Come to think of it, that's the first time I slept on that campus and wasn't bombed out of my gourd. I guess that's what middle age will do for ya. The heck with a stealth camper van - just be 46 years old. Then your whole body is stealth... Anything I "noticed" wouldn't return the look.

V.T.
