Hello Everyone,

I'm planning to go full time shortly, but having trouble wrapping my head around some of the day-to-day things, especially while living in densely populated NE.  Are there any fulltimers in the area who would be willing to meet for lunch (on me!) and let me pepper them with questions? :p

Many thanks.

NE? New England? Nebraska? Neither of those are densely populated so I'm confused. I'm from New England, but won't be back there until 2016 summer.

New to the forum and I don't see a way to edit my original post, but I'm interested in folks in the Northeast. Thanks!

I spend the summers in New England.

North East could be anywhere from Maryland to Maine to Ohio and beyond. If you're a little more specific you might get a better response.

Welcome, don't give up that easily....

Reading past threads can answer many questions, and folks here are mostly willing to express an opinion on a direct question.

There are indeed differences in geography and in attitude as one travels around the states. The NE has it's own subtle and not so subtle challenges to someone living outside of the accepted "norm". There are obvious differences of attitude and ethnic influences as one moves northward.

Speaking as a Northwoods Ridgerunning Introvert, I am reluctant to open up and risk putting myself in a situation that may result in having to disengage from a "Cling-on". Being "peppered with questions" is not my idea of a good time.
A chance meeting with a fellow traveler and chatting in an impromptu manner is much easier.

A thread sharing little about yourself and what you want to gain from the experience will likely result in conversations, and as people get to know you a bit, invitations to meet up will be more likely to be accepted.

Good luck in your quest.

Well put Karl :)

I haven't spent much time in the NE and that was years ago. I do recall never worrying about where to go for camping. Seemed to be plenty outside cities. Never cared to visit cities tho

Well said Karl, I'll give a bit more information about myself, and my goals in a more appropriate part of the forum. Best of luck to everyone.
