Full timing in 1 year!

Hey everyone, My name's Russell. Figured i'd introduce myself since i'll probably have a lot of questions as time gets closer to heading out on the road. I'm 23 years old and have been thinking about the idea of traveling full time for about 2 years but was't sure how I would make everything work.&nbsp;<br /><br />I've traveled a decent amount already, from parts of Europe (Italy, Greece, part of Turkey) to backpacking through Costa Rica with a couple friends that were also on the Europe trip. Traveling to those places has got me hooked on continuing to travel.I can't speak any other language besides English so staying in the western united states is my goal.&nbsp;<br /><br />Due to a recent break up I moved back in with my mom so i can just focus on paying of all my debt within the next year. I'll be selling my motorcycle to pay for a larger cargo van and slowly completely converting it into a mini RV. I've done a lot of research about almost every aspect of full timing but any tips you might have would help greatly!

Good luck, Russell!&nbsp; 1 year is a really good time frame.&nbsp; That's what I gave myself about 6 months ago, and I have a bit more than 5 months to go.<br /><br />Good luck simplifying your life, and getting your van ready to go.&nbsp; There is a lot of really good info on both these sites, and on Bob's blog as well.<br /><br />Marie Angeli

YAY! Congrats! I'm new as well, I just started in August, tho I was planning to start Sept 1st, I ended up starting the middle of august.<br /><br />My advice, start small, and grow.&nbsp; i.e. get a van, live in it with a bedroll for a while, and slowly grow into what you need.<br /><br />With Love,<br />Tara
