"Cold Beast"=typical dodge . They will sometimes stall if you drive off before waiting a little while to warm it up (maybe 30 seconds to a minute).

Stumbling cold is synonymous with Dodge...if it is really bad, it often means plugged crossover in the intake- it's purpose is to warm the intake, but can plug with carbon.
The only cure I know of is to remove the intake and clean it out....then reinstall the intake. PITA job.
Pulled one that had been plugged for some time and cleaned it only to have it warp a week later and have to replace it completely.

YMMV

Glad it is something typical, then. Doesn't mean anything ominous then.

Thanks, good to know. Is it expensive to replace it completely?

Good Luck! This one seems to be a more likely candidate than the previous one!

Thanks. I think so too. But I will see. The price seems almost too low to me.

If the inside looks as good as the outside . That's a sweet looking ride!

Dunno. But I would do things to the inside. It would still be a sweet looking ride!

Something to consider.

I was just looking at the first photo and noticed one of the Mag Wheel's has been replaced with a standard "rim".

That should bear some investigation and questions.

I bring this up as the seller is suggesting it would be good for a local Vendor Van.   Why are they suggesting that
type of service ?

Could there have been some wreckage and suspension damage ?

If I were looking into this Van, this is something I'd want to get to the bottom of early on.  Why is this ?

Hey Patsy, my son and I are leaving CO later today to head to RTR. Not sure how far we'll make it but I'm hoping to stop between Flagstaff and Phoenix tonight. If you like what you see send me a PM and we could stop and check it out on the way through Friday morning. I'm fairly knowledgable and my son actually graduated with a degree in Automotive and Diesel technology from UTI right there in Phoenix a year and a half ago.

Also, I sent you a PM about RTR accommodations. Let me know if you're interested.

For the price and the condition, I'd say that this looks like a decent candidate.

Good Luck, and keep us posted!

imo, the wheel might be worth asking about, but I was looking at a '96 Dodge hi-top here in Kalifornistan the other day, and it also was suggested by the buyer for potential vendor use.  I think maybe that's something people who would never consider living in a vehicle think when they see a van.   :p

Wish you'd been around when I bought mine. Had the same thing regarding rims, but didn't notice it then....Still pondering front end replacement....$1K ain't cheap....

Thanks for noticing this. The van owner (Michael) said Mag Wheel has not been replaced, but is discolored as a result of a brake problem. Van now has new brakes.
Said he didn't think about anyone using it as a camper. He is a singer and sometimes sleeps in the van overnight.

Thanks, and yes I will. MASTERPLUMBER and his son may be able to check it out for me tomorrow.

Good luck with the van Patsy. Looks like something I might buy if I were looking for another van. Good potential.

WOO HOO!!! I bought the van with MASTERPLUMBER's help. He and his son looked it over, estimated the cost of replacing the bushings, advised as to fair offer. Qwner and I settled on $2100 and I now have the van at my apartment, again thanks to MASTERPLUMBER's help. He rocks!
