Ford Transit S250

Hello every one. I just wanted to put this info out there for people who are looking at a Ford Transit 250 series van. The company I currently work for just picked one up with 46000 miles. Took it to the shop for a noise in the rear end. I got word back today that it needs a complete rebuild. The best guess on parts availability would be some where around  the first part of February. Service guy told us that this is a common issue they have with the full size transit van. If you are looking at one now and has over the 60000 mile warranty mark be very careful. Really need to have it checked by a good mechanic. Stay safe out there my friends.

I have one of these myself, it's a fantastic vehicle. I keep a pretty close eye on the Transit forum and this is only the second instance I've heard of. If it was so common I think I would see a lot more complaints.

Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed after the warranty runs out.
